Omni Nano attended the 8th Annual “Hitachi Celebrates Science Day” to brainstorm potential applications for Hitachi's EMIEW3 humanoid robots in development

Hitachi is developing humanoid robots that could aid in routine tasks at K-12 schools. The EMIEW3 (or “Excellent Mobility and Interactive Existence as Workmate”) can potentially mark attendance, patrol hallways, and even help tutor students.

Based on Hitachi’s AI and other technologies, the prototype of EMIEW3 is auto-piloted, speaks, and uses cameras and other sensors for object identification. Although currently in its conceptual phase, the plan is for this amazing humanoid bot to be easily integrable with IoT systems.

Omni Nano was so enthusiastic to participate in a brainstorming session today with leaders at Hitachi to postulate even more potential applications for EMIEW3. A lot of great ideas were brought up to leverage this technology to enhance the school experience for students.

Thank you, Hitachi! We had a wonderful time at the 8th Annual “Hitachi Celebrates Science Day” and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for this incredible technology!
