Creating Super-Water-Repelling Surfaces - A Super Nanotech Workshop

In this weeks Nanotechnology workshop as a part of the UCLA/CNSI High School Nanoscience Program at the UCLA California NanoSystems Institute in Los Angeles, Science teachers learned about creating “Super-Water-Repelling Surfaces,” led by students and volunteers. Hands-on experiments were taught and explained step-by-step, so teachers can recreate the lab activity in their classroom. Each teacher was given materials and supplies to take with them to perform the experiments and teach the topic to their students. Expanding, enriching, and diversifying their curriculum is key for student success and future careers in bio- and nanotechnology.
